Raised in the Ocala National Forest, Amanda Acevedo paints rural Florida as both sanctuary and strain. Beauty and quiet power share the same horizon. The land is not backdrop, it shapes belief, protection, and identity.
In these landscapes, innocence and unease coexist. Fields and open sky become markers of belonging and control.
In her back room studio, a collection of collage works reveals the fractures beneath the surface — the cut, layered, and reassembled imagery that quietly informs the painted terrain.
