Open-Call to Artists for an Upcoming Art Exhibition at Studio ArtFarm in Mount Dora, Florida.

Open Call To Artists for the Wildlife Art Exhibition called Going Wild at Studio ArtFarm in Mount Dora, Florida.

As we say goodbye to summer we want to celebrate the beautiful tropical flora of our surroundings. This show will focus on tropical plants and flowers unique to Florida, the Caribbean and South America.


2D paintings, drawings and photography welcome.



Art Submission Deadline: August 20, 2023 by 11:59 pm

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Submission Fee: $20 (for up to 3 pieces)

Nonrefundable / Does not guarantee acceptance


Artist Opening Reception: Friday, September 1 | 6:30 – 9 pm


Accepted Artist Drop-off: Sunday, August 27 | Noon – 4 pm

Monday, August 28 | 10 am – 2 pm

Artist Pickup: Sunday, October 1 | Noon – 4 pm

Monday, October 2 | 10 am – 2 pm

Gallery Commission: 30% of Sales during the exhibition*




 

Eligibility


All 2-dimensional mediums accepted including painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, animation, and digital. Artwork must be an original, not a project done in a class or workshop. All works must be FOR SALE and is framed or has finished edges ready for hanging with the appropriate hardware installed. Artists must be 18 years of age or older unless specified otherwise.


Please note: pieces will be hung in the Hallway Gallery which is a public space. While there are no size requirements, smaller pieces ( those measuring below 36" by 36") will have a greater chance of being selected due to space limitations. If you have any questions, please contact us prior to submission.


Image Format for Submissions

Artwork is accepted via online submission in the form. The format for uploading images is as follows: 72 dpi, .jpg. or .png formats, no larger than 2mb each. Please name files as follows: yourname_artworkname_1.jpg, yourname_artworkname_2.jpg etc. Images may be used for promotional use.


Selection Criteria

The selection of artists is solely at the discretion of the Studio ArtFarm. The criteria for selection will include concept, technique, design, composition, and color. The concept depicted in the artwork must clearly fit with the theme.


Copyrights and Image Ownership

All works submitted must be original works, and the Artist must have all necessary rights of use of all imagery and reproduction. In the case of ownership disputes, Studio ArtFarm will not become involved. The questioned work will be removed from the show and returned to the artist without refunds.


Delivery & Pickup

Artists are responsible for delivery and pick-up of all works according to the above listed dates and times.


*Any works not picked-up by the artist after 30 days past the posted pick-up date will become the property of Studio ArtFarm. Studio ArtFarm is not responsible for storage or damages.

Having technical difficulties? Please email your name, phone number, name of show you are submitting to, a brief description of how your artwork fits the theme, and an image of each piece (up to 3 pieces). We will get back to you for payment of submission fee.




by submitting your work you agree to the following:

  • All works submitted must be original works created by the Artist, and the Artist must control all necessary rights of use and reproduction. If any third party disputes the Artist’s claims of ownership, originality, or copyrights, Studio ArtFarm will not become involved in any disputes. The work at issue will be removed and returned to the Artist. No refund will be provided.

  • Artwork must be framed or ready for hanging or display.

  • All artwork submitted for exhibitions at Studio ArtFarm must be FOR SALE.

  • Studio ArtFarm takes a 30% commission of all art sales during exhibitions, so artists must price their work, accordingly.

  • It is recommended and requested that the Artist attend the opening reception, and that the Artist promote the opening reception and show to your network.

  • All sales will be reconciled around 30 days of the show closing. Artist should include legal name on submission if different from working name.

  • After-show closing, all work must be picked up on the day(s) indicated for pickup. Studio ArtFarm is not responsible for damage during storage to any work not picked up after posted pick up date. Any art not picked up within 30 days of the show closure will become the property of Studio ArtFarm.

  • Studio ArtFarm will make every effort to carefully handle and protect work, however, Studio ArtFarm cannot be held liable for damage to work that you submit, or for any personal injury you may sustain while participating at Studio ArtFarm shows. You agree to bear all risk of loss and damage.

  • Studio ArtFarm is not liable for theft of any work displayed within the premises. SAF makes reasonable efforts to maintain a secure premise for our Artists and their works, but the Artist must accept all risks of loss due to theft..

  • Studio ArtFarm does not insure any art work displayed. Artists are welcome to provide their own insurance.
