4-Hr Cyanotype Instructional Class for All Skill Levels.


Description

Level: Beginner to Advanced Instructor: Kat Barbieri Cyanotype with Nature: the introduction to Cyanotypes In this workshop we will lecture about the history and how to create Cyanotypes. During this workshop we will use three different mediums to create Cyanotypes on. I will also do a demo, that way all chemistry and technique will be easy to use and follow along to. We will be using brought or/and found objects around Mount Dora to create Cyanotypes. The three ways we will be doing that is: on paper, a fabric of your choice and white t-shirts. This way we can explore how Cyanotypes look on different items and you will have something to remember the class by! I will be supplying the chemistry, the tools and the paper to print on! Supply List: White T-shirt Pencil Notebook to take notes (or scrap paper) Items to use for cyanotype exposure Fabric of your choice (jeans, sweater, any type of fabric) * Listed supplies not included. Kat Barbieri is a fine art and portrait photographer who lives and works in Savannah, Georgia, Her work focuses on themes of intimacy, personal connection, and narrative storytelling. She enjoys experimenting with digital imaging techniques, 35mm film, and alternative processes. Kat Graduated with her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Photography at the Ringling College of Art and Design in May 2022. She is currently studying to get her Masters of Fine Arts in Photography and Imaging at the Savannah College of Art and Design and plans to graduate in the fall of 2024. Cancellation Policy

class bookings need to be done on our website, even if you plan to pay in person. We accept all major credit cards and PayPal online. Payments: In-person credit card sales will no longer be accepted for classes so the teacher can focus on getting the students ready. The only in-person payments will be cash/check, but the online pre-registration will still need to be done, and we ask that you write a message letting us know the planned payment method. Cancellations & Refunds: Any course that doesn’t meet a minimum of 4 prepaid students 48hrs before the start will likely be canceled. We will notify students via email and text. Prepaid registrations may be shifted to another upcoming course or refunded. If you miss one of the scheduled classes, contact your teacher directly to schedule the makeup day. No refunds will be issued for registration cancellations within 4 business days of the first class, or for any course where 1 or more classes were attended.
